JoAnn M. Hilgenkamp, 68
Died at her home in Arlington Friday morning, May 25. After six years survival she succombed to her cancer. She was born August 2, 1943 in Fremont and was raised in Hooper and Schuyler before moving to Fremont during grade school where she graduated from Fremont High School in 1961. JoAnn Bradbury married Gary Hilgenkamp September 2, 1962 in Fremont. She has lived in Arlington since her marriage. JoAnn dedicated her life to be God's caretaker of horses and dogs and making his world prettier with her flowers.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherie Hilgenkamp (significant other Tom Streeter) of Osage, Wyoming, a son Rick Hilgenkamp (wife Wendy) of Arlington, and a brother Ronald Bradbury of Lincoln. She has two granddaughters, Hannah and Lily Hilgenkamp and two nieces, Becky Lamb and Tracy Knorr.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 30, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Pastor Rick Kanoy officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00. The family encourages donations to the Dodge County and Omaha Humane Societies, St. Paul's Lutheran School, and Lutheran Family Services. Condolences may be left at www.duganchapel.com.
